Grateful November 26, 2008

A short post today, to accomodate all the holiday busyness…

During these days to focus on thankfulness, I’m certainly grateful for the wonderful community of writers and friends who have gathered at this writer’s roundtable for the past few months.

If you have a moment to write during these next days, you might share your thoughts on the people who have inspired you in your writing journey.  For some, it might be teachers or friends, for others, lovers or children.  Perhaps it’s an author whose work you admire, and whose words set your fingers itching to pick up a pencil.

Enjoy the feast ’round your dining room tables tomorrow.

We’ll reconvene here soon.

Oh, I’m sad but kind of glad! Running to stay in place and get things done before vacation (the holiday, then a week off work).

I’ll miss WOW next week (I’ll be in Vegas for Rick’s trade show) but will still post when I can!

Take care and do have a beautiful Thanksgiving. I am grateful to have discovered this wonderful site and the new friends I’ve made from being part of it — including you!

This year, I’m filled with a kind of gratitude I’ve never known – generalized and overwhelming at once. I’m grateful to have escaped Ike, and to have my Mom back home at last, and to have discovered a bit of talent I never suspected.

Like Jeanie, I’m grateful for this site, and all the encouragement I’ve found here. I haven’t a lick of energy for more writing just now, but late, late last night I posted my own reflection on gratitude for this Thanksgiving. I hope everyone else finds as much to be grateful for in this season.

Given I just caught up with last week, I appreciate a pause this week. I am glad, too, for everyone in my blogging community, and ever appreciative of all your warmth and inspiration. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I just returned from the National Writing Project/NCTE conference week in San Antonio so I was out of circulation last week and maybe the week before. I don’t remember at this point. But I don’t know that it’s Thanksgiving tomorrow and I’m cooking romantic for just me and my man. No turkey here.
But I will love remembering the writers who helped me find my writing voice. I’m grateful.
I will start right here. Love being part of this new community with the great prompts from you, Becca that we begin with.
Thanks on Thanksgiving,
Bonnie

I’ve actually considered for some time adding an “Inspiration” page to my website and/or blog. There are several people who have inspired and supported my writing. I’ll have to work on that page!

Hope you had a fantabulous Thanksgiving, Becca, and here’s to an even better Christmas!

*smiles and holiday hugs*

Becca ~

You’ve done it again. I am so grateful that you provided the “push” to help me get my Team Muse page going as a way of recognizing a primary source of inspiration. I had fun with this one!

Thank you for the prompt of being grateful.

Today I wrote. It wasnt good by any stretch of the imagination. It wasnt even creative… but I sat at my computer and wrote. For that I am grateful.

A Novel- Write on Wednesday for November 26, 2009

Share your thoughts on the people who have inspired you in your writing journey?

When I started out writing, I just lost my grandpa and I was not really close to anyone that I could express my true feelings about things to. In the sense of inspiration, I owe my writing to my grandpa for helping me find a new way to express myself.

I have had boyfriends along the way that help my romance flow. They helped me know what I wanted out of a real man and how to turn those feelings into words that would give me the scenes I wanted. I could say that my family inspires me, but my writing comes from my dreams, thoughts, and past. My family only encourages me to do my dreams as I encourage them to follow theirs.
